This session explores activities to perform during small-group lessons that help readers build automaticity with sight words, practice word patterns, and respond to texts. Learning outcomes: • Evaluate current small-group practices to identify areas for growth • Plan and conduct sight word, word study, and guided writing lessons grounded in Science of Reading principles to support students at all reading levels • Develop prompting and formative data-collection routines to inform personalized learning • Craft a small-group lesson plan that includes targeted sight word, word study, and guided writing activities
