In this session we’ll explore how to use assessment results to identify student reading needs, then build a manageable plan for differentiating and personalizing literacy instruction. Learning outcomes: • Plan lessons that tailor early literacy instruction based on pacing, instructional content, and skills practice • Use assessments to determine readiness levels and target instruction • Identify practices for managing personalized instruction in the classroom • Integrate routines and technology to maximize literacy learning and engagement for all children

Teacher- and Child-Managed Instruction
During this session participants will learn just how much literacy and STEM go hand in hand! Teachers will be empowered as they locate areas of opportunity in their instruction for STEM to be incorporated. Teachers will walk away understanding the connections between literacy and STEM, how to locate STEM materials, and how to integrate STEM resources and instructional strategies that will spark student interest. Learning outcomes: • Identify how literacy and STEM go hand in hand • Locate STEM-themed books, articles, websites, and other resources that align with literacy objectives • Create a plan for integrating STEM-focused texts and resources that spark student interest in the literacy block • Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, exploration, and a growth mindset for STEM
