Wasatch County Heber Valley
Home to some of the best fishing, equestrian centers, and views in Utah, nearby Wasatch County is not to be overlooked. Heber City anchors this picturesque county, which is known for its open tracts of farm land and romantic mountain setting. The county extends from the Jordanelle Reservoir to the base of the impressive Mt. Timpanogos and has seen a tremendous amount of development interest in the last few years. For skiers, Park City ski resorts are a short 15 minute drive away, and Sundance Resort is nearby in Provo Canyon. Local trails abound, much to the enjoyment of hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers, and runners. Resting at the base of the Wasatch Mountains is the quaint, Swiss-influenced community of Midway, famous for its legendary annual Swiss Days over Labor Day weekend. Jordanelle Situated just east of Park City the neighborhoods surrounding the Jordanelle Reservoir and developments abutting the Jordanelle State Park—offer stunning views of Mt. Timpanogos and Deer Valley Resort. With the Jordanelle State Park right in their backyard, residents enjoy some of the best water sports in the state. The Jordanelle Express gondola is located at Highway 40’s Mayflower exit, providing easy ski access to Deer Valley Resort. It was announced that Deer Valley® will operate the new Mayflower Resort (currently under construction just off Highway 40). The development of the New Village and Portal at its base will bring an additional full- service access point to the resort, along with world-class lodging, dining and retail amenities. Portions of the expanded terrain will be introduced in the 2025/2026 ski season.
East Summit County Gateway to the Uintas
Located below the majestic peaks of the Uintas, the mountain communities of Kamas, Woodland, Francis, Oakley, Peoa, Coalville, Wanship and Hoytsville boast stunning views and wild natural beauty. Popular with outdoor enthusiasts and ranchers, these townships offer a wide range of real estate options including farmstead estates, large lots on which to build your dream home, and small subdivisions with a quiet neighborhood feel. Just a short distance to Park City and Salt Lake City, these towns have a preserved sense of nature and community without the hustle and bustle of a larger city.
