SPECIAL CLASSES
HUNTER CLASSICS Declaration of all special classes must be made in the Horse Show office by 5:00 p.m. the day before the class takes place. Riders are required to wear formal attire in all special classes. Riders must ride for awards. A suitable horse should be available. Trophy to first, ribbons through 8th. The final round of each division will be the first round of the classic. Exhibitors must enter the classic prior to the start of the first round class. Scratches are not permitted after the first round class has begun. See the time schedule for the designated first round class. Horses must have entered, shown, and completed the course in at least two of the respective hunter division classes over fences at this show to enter the classics. To be judged on performance and soundness, suitability and manners to count. To be scored under the open numerical judging system. To be shown over a course of approximately 10 jumps of height designated by the qualifying division. The twelve horses with the highest scores from the first round will return to jump a second round over a different course. In the event of equality in the first round, all equal scores will return for the second round. Scores will be combined from the first round with the second round to determine overall winners.
