In accordance with GR1111.4: All members may compete for Zone Awards or money in any state contiguous to Zone 10: OR, ID, UT, AZ

JUDGING FOR ALL HUNTER SECTIONS: To be judged on performance and soundness, suitability to count.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADULT AMATEURS: HUNTER, JUMPER AND EQUITATION: To be ridden by exhibitors who have reached their 18th birthday as of December 1 of the current competition year and who hold a current USEF Amateur certification. Open to horses and ponies. ELIGIBILITY FOR CHILDREN'S SECTIONS: HUNTER, JUMPER AND EQUITATION: To be ridden by exhibitors who have not reached their 18th birthday as of December 1 of the current competition year. ADULT AMATEUR HUNTER Sections offered and requirements : Adult Amateurs – may be split into three (3) sections. Cross Entry: Riders: Riders may not cross enter into any Amateur Owner hunter class (at the same competition), First Year, Second Year or High Performance Working Hunter at the same competition. Exception - under saddle classes. Adult Amateur Riders may not cross enter into any class at the same competition with fences exceeding 3'3" except Jumper Classes not exceeding 1 .25m, Equitation and Medal Classes, and the USHJA National Hunter Derby. An Adult Amateur rider may ride an Amateur Owner Hunter in the A/O Under Saddle Class for an Amateur Owner rider that has more than one horse entered. No cross entry restrictions at one-day competitions. Horses: Horses may not cross enter into any Amateur Owner hunter class (at the same show). No cross entry restrictions at one-day competitions. Horse and Rider Combination: No cross entry restrictions at one-day competitions. Fence Height: 3'0" with spreads not to exceed the fence height. Courses will not be adjusted for ponies. Combinations are permitted. Classics: Three (3) entries are required to conduct a Hunter Classic. Combining/Dividing Sections: May be split into three (3) sections: Adult Amateurs 18 – 35; Adult Amateurs 36– 49; Adult Amateurs 50 & Over. If any of the Adult Amateur, Children's Hunter Horse and Children's Hunter Pony may be combined if there are fewer than three (3) entries in any one section. Awards: Zone Horse of the Year Awards will be presented annually to the following sections: Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35; Adult Amateur 36–49; Adult Amateurs 50 & Over . LOW ADULT AMATEUR HUNTER Eligibility: Open to exhibitors who have reached their 18th birthday as of December 1 of the current competition year. Cross Entry: Riders: Riders may not cross enter into any class or section at the same competition where fences exceed 3'0" Fence Height: 2'6" Awards: Zone Horse of the Year Awards will be presented annually to the following section: Low Adult Amateur Hunter . ADULT AMATEUR JUMPER Sections offered and requirements: Low Adult Amateur Jumper; High Adult Amateur Jumper. Cross Entry: No cross entry restrictions at one day competitions. Rider: Adult Amateur Jumper riders may not cross enter into any jumper class with fences exceeding 1 .25m. Horse/Pony: n/a. Horse and Rider Combination: n/a. Fence Height: Low Adult Amateur Jumper 1 .00m to 1 .05m. High Adult Amateur Jumper 1 .10m for the first class of the section. In all other classes of the section fences to be set no lower than 1 .10m and no higher than 1 .15m. Combining/ Dividing Sections: Low Children's and Low Adult Amateur Jumper sections must combine if there are less than three (3) in either section and may combine if there are less than six (6) in either section. If after combining the Low sections there are less than three (3) entries then competition management must further combine the Low sections with the High sections, allowing each section to compete at their respective height. High Children's and High Adult Amateur Jumper sections must combine if there are less than three (3) in either section and may combine if there are less than six (6) in either section. If after combining the High sections there are less than three (3) entries then competition management must further combine the High sections with the Low sections, allowing each section to compete at their respective height. Awards: Zone Horse of the Year Awards will be presented annually to the following sections: Low Adult Amateur Jumper; High Adult Amateur Jumper . AGE GROUP EQUITATION: ADULT SECTION Refer to GR1131. Fence Height: Fence heights cannot exceed 3'5" and wings are optional. To be shown over a course of not less than eight fences. Combining/Dividing Sections: Competition management may offer Age Group Equitation classes divided at their discretion. Equitation that is offered by age will be awarded points that will be credited to the age groups defined in GR1131 or the relevant Zone Specifications. Awards: Zone Horse of the Year Awards will be presented annually to the following sections: Equitation 18-35; Equitation 36 and Over.
