LAND CONSERVATION

"By acquiring nearly 30 acres of land from the Society of St. John the Evangelist (SSJE), we’ve expanded the Artichoke River Woods Conservation Area to include even more scenic woodland and trails, while also safeguarding a crucial source of drinking water for West Newbury and Newburyport."

Greenbelt's efforts safeguarded native forests, wildlife habitats, working farmland, coastal ecosystems, and critical drinking water supplies — all while preserving the region’s natural beauty and character for future generations.
