The typical method of replacing crankcase oil seals is complicated and involves removing the two bearing covers, the crankshaft and bearings, and the plunger rod and connecting rod assemblies before finally removing the oil seals. Note: If your installation does not allow forward rotation, reverse rotation is acceptable if the crankcase oil level is filled slightly above the red dot in the oil gauge, ensuring adequate lubrication.
