Forecasted traffic in the Eastside would be more evenly spread amongst functional classes with the additional roadway amendments and would relieve some congested segments. Though, these Eastside corridors continue to experience higher volumes even with revised 2045 roadway amendments:
IH-30 and IH-820 and their frontage roads
East Lancaster Avenue
East Rosedale Avenue
John T White Road
Brentwood Stair Road
Eastchase Parkway
Randol Mill Road Using the TDM output for vehicle miles of travel, Table 16 compares the daily vehicle miles of travel broken up by functional classifications of roadways in the Eastside. Compared to the baseline forecast, the revised forecast shows a significant increase in vehicle miles of travel along frontage roads with a moderate increase along freeways and freeway ramps. This shows that there is a slight improvement in traffic dispersing off principal arterials, although there is a slight increase in vehicle miles of travel on minor arterials.
