Node 6 Green Oaks Blvd & E Lancaster Ave

Node 6 is located at the eastern end of the East Lancaster Avenue corridor just on the border with the City of Arlington. As an important gateway into the city from the east, this location has the potential to mark an entrance into the city and the East Lancaster Avenue Corridor. In addition, there is an opportunity to connect to regional trails in the area and along East Lancaster Avenue.

An infrastructure project would develop a trailhead hub that would function as a rest-stop and information center with toilets, a small commercial kitchen for light food and beverage preparation and information counter. Outside would be dining tables with seating and benches and parking. This node is adjacent or nearby to several trails. As a regional amenity trailhead parking could draw more visitors and would enhance this area as an amenity within the study area (see Figure 78 and Figure 79).
