Node 7: Meadowbrook Dr & Handley Dr
Node 7 is located roughly in the middle of the study area. It was identified as a neighborhood node with several under-utilized retail sites for potential redevelopment that could accommodate a greater mix of uses. Retail and pad sites along Meadowbrook Drive could be redeveloped into a series of neighborhood serving restaurants and retail built to the street.
Streetscape enhancements could be implemented on both sides of Meadowbrook Drive (between IH-820 and Milam Street) and Handley Drive. The catalytic project includes one mixed-use structures with ground floor retail uses and residential apartments above; and two two-story residential structures. (see Figure 80 and Figure 81).
