Node 8: Vickery Blvd & E Hattie St
This node is located along E. Vickery Boulevard South of IH-30 and just west of Highway 287. An interchange with Highway 287 at Riverside Drive provides good regional access. There are good views of the Fort Worth skyline to the west. There are nearby parks but the connections to these parks is poor. There is a lack of retail and neighborhood services and many scatter vacant parcels due to disinvestments in the area. An infrastructure project could include a neighborhood plaza at the northwest corner of the intersection of Vickery Boulevard and Hattie Street and street realignment the intersection of Vickery Boulevard and Hattie Street to allow for the construction of a neighborhood plaza. The catalytic project anticipates a three mixed-use structures with ground floor retail and residential apartments above (see Figure 82 and Figure 83).
