P LAN I MPLEMENTATION The implementation phase of the Eastside Transportation plan is a critical step in transforming the recommended projects and policies identified through the study into built transportation enhancements that improve overall mobility and quality of life. This section provides a high-level overview of the process that may be followed to implement projects and policies recommended through the Eastside Transportation Plan. It includes project prioritization and recommendations for capital improvements programming, potential partnerships, and funding and financing strategies.
Key implementation components include:
• Implementation Process : A high-level overview of the process of taking a project from identification to construction. • Project Prioritization: The process of quantitatively scoring transportation projects using existing geospatial transportation data based on criteria that aligns with the project goals and objectives. • Capital Improvements Programming : Strategically identify the timeframe (short-, medium-, and long-term) for implementing recommended projects. • Potential Partnerships : Identification of potential partners and/or partnerships to assist in contracting, funding, operating, and/or maintaining recommended projects. • Funding and Financing Strategies : Identifying potential funding sources or strategies that may be used to fund the cost of transportation improvements.
