S TAKEHOLDER I NTERVIEWS
A series of interviews were conducted with specific stakeholders to get one-on-one feedback. Developer Interviews
The consultant team met with several developers, individually and collectively, to gather their input on the development landscape as well as working with the City of Fort Worth. Interview subjects represented affordable housing markets, mixed-use developments, as well as general commercial real estate.
Key Takeaways
East Fort Worth has naturally occurred affordable housing, making market rate transactions difficult. The City is easy to do business with but should invest in streetscape infrastructure to set the table and should increase the amount available to subsidize affordable housing. The City should rezone to encourage density (e.g., auxiliary dwelling units). The Eastside is positioned to be an educational/business joint venture industrial trade hub.
