The index shows high concentrations of vulnerable populations along East Lancaster Avenue, Meadowbrook Drive, Bridge Street, and John T. White Road. Special attention should be given to these areas as the study unfolds, and projects and policies are identified to minimize potential displacements. Figure 9 compares household incomes for the Eastside and the City of Fort Worth as whole. The median household income in the Eastside, $52,773, is 30% lower than the City’s, so price points for housing options and other services may be lower in the study area. Most crucially, over a fifth of Eastsiders live below the federal poverty line. Conversely, over a fifth of households earn over $100,000 annually.
