PERFUME TIPS & IDEAS

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY APPLY PERFUME

The correct perfume application will maximize the longevity of your fragrance experience.

• Applying fragrance to the upper forearm is better than the inside of your wrist. The PH balance of the skin on the inside of your wrists can be more acidic and could affect the scent of your fragrance. Additionally, we often wear a watch, bracelets or other jewelry on our wrists. The metals or leather in these accessories can also impact the smell of a fragrance. The top of your hand or upper forearm is more consistent with the PH acidity of the rest of your body, giving you a better fragrance experience. The existence of hair on your forearm prolongs the fragrance longevity. • Avoid applying your fragrance behind the ear. At the back of the ears are glands that produce an oily substance that could also change your fragrance’s true smell. • Your hair is a perfect place to apply perfume. The oil in your hair is an excellent fragrance keeper. • The pulse points on your body generate heat, which helps your fragrance to radiate into the air. (Behind the neck and behind the knees) • When applying perfume, never rub it in. First, rubbing your wrists together can dull top notes. Secondly, it mixes the perfume vigorously with your natural oils, which can change how it smells. FRAGRANCE LAYERING In the world of scents, crafting your signature fragrance goes beyond simply spritzing a single perfume. It’s an art form – an art form known as fragrance layering. Like mixing colours on a palette to create a masterpiece, blending scents allow you to curate a unique olfactory experience that’s entirely your own. Think of fragrance layering as creating a symphony of scents. Start with a base, your favourite fragrant INUKA Body Wash followed by the matching INUKA Luxury Lotion , to establish a foundation. Once your foundation is set, apply your favourite matching INUKA Perfume .

Creating Your Masterpiece: Experimentation is key. Mix and match scents from different fragrance families – floral, woody, oriental – to discover unique combinations that resonate with your personality. Don’t be afraid to break the rules and trust your instincts.

So, dare to experiment. Blend. Mix. Layer. Unleash your olfactory creativity and enjoy the masterpiece that is uniquely yours.

Fragrances smell completely different on different people. Skin type and body chemistry have a major effect on a fragrance and can change the way perfume smells. Perfume can even smell differently on you from day to day. For example, if you are taking medication that you don’t usually take, you may find your perfume smells different. Even spicy foods can change the PH balance of your body and the smell of your perfume on your skin. Seasons and temperatures also have an impact on your fragrance experience.
