“Our cows check all the boxes!“
“Half of our calf crop is sold as breeding bulls or retained as replacement heifers. In 2025, the remaining steers and heifers, who were primarily Stabilizer sired, graded 43% Prime , 49% CAB, 8% Choice, and 0% Select! They did that with a 2.65 Yield Grade and a 966 carcass weight on the steers and 860 on the heifers.” - Gary Meinders

Our cows primarily graze in river bottom pastures along the Buffalo Creek in the summers. These pastures can be very productive but are prone to bad flooding. The cows that are hardy, easy fleshing and low to medium for dry matter intake handle these conditions best. Here we are pregnancy check- ing cows on the hill of a flooded pasture last summer.
Finished Stabilizer cattle in the crowd tub before loading on the truck to Cargill. Heavy muscled, ideal fat cover, and an extremely valuable carcass underneath the hide.
