SPECIAL TO THE ALASKA MINER Redpath USA’s employees at the Pogo and Kens- TYR_ZY []ZUPN_^ ]PLNSPO ^TRYTʭNLY_ ^LQP_d XTWP - stones in 2019. ,Q_P] NZX[WP_TZY ZQ _SP ;ZRZ NZY_]LN_ 5LY  Redpath’s 90 employees had completed 4.5 years — 1,743 days and 1.1 million manhours worked without a lost time incident. At the end of May 2019 Redpath’s Kensington Project employees complet- PO!dPL]^ɨ OLd^bT_SZ`_Lʭ]^_LTOXPO - ical aid or lost time incident. ,WL^VL,]PL8LYLRP]5L^ZY8Z]]T^ZYN]POT_^LWW the employees for continuing their strong safety N`W_`]P 0aP]d NZX[LYd ^_]TaP^ QZ] ^_]ZYR ^LQP_d performance at all levels of operations, and Red- path works diligently to have its employees buy into its safety programs and systems. =PO[L_S ^`[P]aT^Z]^ NZX[WP_P L ʭaPNZ`]^P NP]_TʭNL_TZY []ZR]LX _SL_ TYNW`OP^ ?SP =PO[L_S Safety Program, Train the Trainer, Loss Control 7PLOP]^ST[;L_SbLd^_Z0cNPWWPYNP4LYO443Z`] - ly employees participate in many of the courses and spread the safety culture to project employees throughout the company. 48 allow employees to transfer to other projects without having to learn new safety systems. Min- ers new to Redpath are mentored in the workplace LYOYPbXTYP]^LOZ[__SP^d^_PX^\`TNVWdɮ In 2013, Redpath rolled out its Fatality Preven- tion Program worldwide. The program includes 10 “Cardinal Rules” that guide safe work practices throughout the organization. ?SP1L_LWT_d;]PaPY_TZY;]ZR]LX]P\`T]P^XLY - agers, supervisors and key underground leaders to devote and demonstrate their commitment to safety and to comply with Fatality Prevention and _SP .L]OTYLW =`WP^ >TRYTʭNLY_ PʬZ]_ T^ YPNP^^L]d to determine which non-routine workplace tasks present higher risk and properly develop critical task procedures before the start of work. Redpath’s implementation of the Fatality Pre- vention Program and continued emphasis on the Redpath Safety Program has generated safety ex- cellence throughout U.S. projects with over 2.5 million-man hours without a lost time incident. To accomplish these milestones working in the underground mining environment is a credit to all _SPPX[WZdPP^LYO^`[P]aT^Z]^0aP]dZYPNZY_TY`P^ to support the motto of “Safety First, Last and Al- ways” and remember: “The most important thing to come out of a mine is an uninjured miner.”
