Supporting responsible mining in Alaska.
The Klondike Gold Rush began in earnest in 1897 and only lasted a few years – by 1899, prospectors were moving to new gold field discoveries near Nome. Forty years later, the Alaska Miners Association was founded to promote the mining industry in Alaska and advocate for the development and use of Alaska’s mineral resources to provide an economic base for the state. Oxford Assaying & Refining has been a member of AMA for more than 39 years, and we’re proud to celebrate with them on the historic occasion of their 80th anniversary. Congratulations AMA!
