to visit at a later time. The Lord told them that there was much work to be done ior God, but there were not nearly enough people who were will ing to help with that work. He asked them to pray that more men and women and boys and girls would be willing to be His helpers. The Lord Jesus told them not to try to provide for their own needs as they went out to serve Him, for He would take care of them, in every way. They were to preach the Gospel and to heal the sick in every place they visited. When the seventy disciples returned to Jesus, they were joyful because they had been able to help Him in His work. Today the Lord vJesus is looking for helpers, boys and girls who are will ing to work for Him. There are mem bers of your family, friends, boys and girls in your school, and neighbors who do not love the Saviour. Perhaps you are the only one who may tell them about Him. Perhaps they may never hear the Gospel and receive the Lord Jesus as their Saviour if you are not a faithful disciple.* Will you pray each day that He will make you faith ful in helping others to love and serve Him? LESSON FOR JUNE 16 Sharing Jesus’ Kingdom Purpose LESSON MATERIAL: Luke 9:23, 24, 46- 48, 57-62; 11:1-4; 17:20, 21. GOLDEN TEXT: “ Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matt. 6:10), Outline ond Exposition I. T he P athway to S haring (L uke 9:23, 24, 46-48) This pathway leads to a self-denial that chooses Christ instead of self, as sumes à cross which might be es caped, and follows God’s will instead of its own. Without this choice, the life would be lost, even if the whole world were gained. Thé world at best is but a temporary possession, while the life exchanged for it is eternal. To forego the p reset for the future is the -means of sharing the kingdom pur pose. Jesus used a little child as an object lesson of the grace of humility (vs. 46-48), which does not think of itself, but is engrossed in the purpose of God’s kingdom. II. Those who would share the king dom in the present day must be will ing to face a life of hardship; they must not procrastinate or be vacillat ing (Luke 9:57-62). They must know how to pray (Luke 11:1-4). The basis of true prayer is addressing God as our Father in real ity. The deepest desire of the heart T he M anner of S haring (L uke 9:57-62; 11:1-4)%
