Dear Educator, For over 100 years, Scholastic has partnered with educators, families, and communities to support them to learn to read and to love to read. This past year presented so many challenges personally and professionally for classrooms. You rethought how to provide materials, how to teach, how to get books for independent reading to children, how to teach the alphabetic principle on video conference, and how to integrate technology into everything you do. Not only that, you continue to navigate the social-emotional impact of the pandemic, of hybrid and virtual learning, and address questions about equity, diversity, and belonging in our schools and our nation. As we look to the future, Scholastic Education Solutions is proud to support you to engage all learners with effective teaching tools that provide personalized and equitable learning experiences. Through our print and digital curricula, Scholastic Magazines+, Teacher Resources, Literacy Initiatives, Classroom Libraries, and Take-Home Books, we want to help ensure that each child has the reading and critical thinking skills for their future. We are excited to share several of our new and updated programs with you: PreK On My Way TM is a comprehensive full-year, half-day, or full-day early childhood program in English and Spanish. It supports children’s development in Literacy, Language, Math, and all content domains of learning. The program combines play-based learning with songs, games, and picture books with research-based teaching and learning. The Rising Voices Libraries are designed to provide students with high-interest, culturally relevant texts that provide mirrors and windows to readers and context to experience and identity. Built on the success of Rising Voices: Celebrating Black and Latino Boys , our new collection Rising Voices: Empowering Girls in S.T.E.A.M. , celebrates inspirational stories of critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. Scholastic Magazines+ provide a consistent source of fresh and engaging content for grades PreK–12. You can use titles like Storyworks® and Scholastic News® as the basis for your entire ELA or Social Studies curricula, or use beloved titles like Action® , SuperScience® , and DynaMath® to enhance your existing curriculum and engage readers in class or at home. Now available in equally powerful print and digital formats, Scholastic Magazines+ brings you the best, most relevant content all year long. Developed by Ruth Culham and Libby Jachles, Modes in Focus offers literature and lessons for narrative, informational, and opinion writing for K-5. The program supports educators and students with ready-to-use lessons, mentor texts, teaching tools, and research-based writing instruction. New professional books including Choosing and Using Decodable Texts by Wiley Blevins, Rooted in Strength by Cecilia M. Espinosa and Laura Ascenzi-Moreno, Life, Literacy, and the Pursuit of Happiness by Don Vu, Intervention Reinvention by Stephanie Harvey, Annie Ward, Maggie Hoddinott, and Suzanne Carroll, and many more. Scholastic is committed to designing the right solution for your literacy needs. We thank you for your continued efforts and our partnership in helping children learn to read and love to read.
