CIPP’s Advisory Service team explains why it’s vital to them to keep you, our members, as informed as possible and to assist you with compliancy in this growingly complex industry W hen you look in the dictionary at the word ‘advisory’, you’re met with the definitions, ‘the giving system of trust, professionalism and open communication. Our backgrounds and experiences from our time in operational payroll can help us understand the many environment, and we try to alternate our roles. It may be that one day we’re on the telephones helping members, and the next, we’re answering their emails.

The constantly evolving changes regarding Brexit, family directives, holiday pay and National Insurance (NI) are just a few examples. Another team member may be on a research project on a specialist subject area, and another could be on a training course. We ensure we’re well equipped with the latest updates to prepare for an influx of calls and emails which could be due to changes announced within a fiscal statement, for example.
