The Core Shack and Prospector’s Shack were also our largest ever, fea- turing more than a dozen amazing and rich potential mine projects in various stages of development in Alaska. And our banquet, besides honoring 2019’s slate of AMA members who’ve done great work for the industry, also set a new fundraising watermark. Through your donations and generosity, we raised more than $125,000 for Alaska Resource Education, the group taking the grassroots lead with the next generation of Alaskans, our youngsters still in school, to learn the value and contributions of resource development for all Alaskans. The technical sessions were also standing room only as the experts leading the industry in Alaska explained both the challenges and opportunities we are overcoming. Our keynote speakers from Jason Brune to Congressman Don Young to DNR Commissioner Corri Feige repeated one important theme — Alaska is open for business, especially when it comes to mining! It was a great one — and we’re already working to set new records in 2020!
