Weir Minerals New facility

Distribution center opens in Anchorage Weir Minerals has opened its new- est location in Anchorage, Alaska. The 8,000-square-foot facility will serve as a distribution center for Weir Miner- als’ products, and spare parts including Warman® pumps, Cavex® hydrocy- clones and Linatex® rubber products. The new Alaska facility enables close proximity to customers’ operations, offering local equipment repairs and service expertise, around the clock. “The new distribution center allows us to better service and support our Alas- kan customers by stocking our products and spare parts locally,” says Doug Sum- merville, Vice President of Sales for Weir Minerals US. “Our Anchorage location provides closer proximity to a number of key customers, which improves our re- sponse time. Additionally, the facility is adjacent to the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, making it easier to ship parts to our customers’ sites.” Weir Minerals has expanded into new geographies in recent years, rec- ognizing that some mine sites are sit- uated in remote locations and require a partner close to them and on-call 24/7. “Our intention is to ensure custom- ers maintain optimum performance of their plant. Whether it is spare parts, repairs, installation or engineering solutions, we want to deliver a com- prehensive solution to our customers in Alaska,” Summerville said. to support operations
