project’s preliminary economic assessment, which was updated in July 2017, concluded: Sufficient resource exists for a project life of 40 years, which could become a significant employer in the region Full production would be approximately 55,350 tonnes per year of CSG and other graphite products, reached in the sixth year after start of production; and The project’s resources are economically viable and encourage continued development efforts News from 2018 In 2018, Graphite One completed a field program consisting of approximately 800 meters of core drilling in six holes in the resource area to fill in and expand the known graphite resource. An explo- ration camp was set up off the Nome-Teller Hwy to provide technical, logistical and helicopter support for the project situated approximately 16 miles from State-maintained road system.
Graphite One poised for U.S. lead in graphite Graphite One continued exploration and develop- ment work of its Graphite Creek large-flake graph- ite deposit located on the Seward Peninsula approx- imately 37 miles north of Nome. The Company is in a position whereby it could become the dominant American producer of high-grade Coated Spherical Graphite (“CSG”) that is integrated with a domestic graphite resource. CSG is a critical ingredient for Li- ion batteries used in electric vehicles and other green energy applications. The U.S. is currently wholly de- pendent on graphite imports, mostly from China. The property’s large-flake graphite mineraliza- tion has been discovered to be exceptionally unique and distinct from other known graphite materi- als because it exhibits naturally the morphological characteristics of an already processed material.
