Professor Gerald Maki is currently serving as a participant in The International Center’s James T. Morris’ Global Leadership Series. The 2023 Morris Series cohort is composed of global professionals from across Indiana. The participants represent a wide range of industries, including technology, media, academia and more. Inspired by Jim
Morris’ vast experience as well as The Center’s mission to support global initiatives across public, private and civic sectors, the sessions will discuss global leadership across government, business and humanitarian efforts. The cohort’s next meeting will include a visit to the Indiana Statehouse.
The Professional Development Committee has a budget of $25,000 to help fund professional development opportunities. All faculty and staff are encouraged to identify and apply for funding. Please apply as early as possible so that applications can be reviewed and funding distributed in time, especially with the implementation of Workday. The Indiana Organization for Student Success (formerly INADE) will host the 2023 Annual Conference on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Lawrence Campus. This year’s theme, Regroup and Refresh for Student and Faculty Success , focuses on how advisors, instructors, and student support professionals can help reorganize, revitalize, and restore the focus on student success in post- secondary education. We invite all full-time and part-time faculty, academic advisors, and student support professionals to join us for our keynote session with Dr. Lynn Shaw on laughter wellness.
