American Judo- Hapkido Institute Readers have spoken, and the best place to hit the sparring mat in Morgantown is the American Judo-Hapkido Institute. The dojo earned top honors for the second year in a row. BEST PLACE TO TAKE THE KIDS Aquatic Center at Mylan Park The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park opened in November 2019 and quickly became a local favorite. It serves not only the WVU Swim and Dive Team but the Morgantown community as well with a 50-meter olympic-sized pool, a 17-foot deep-diving well, a community pool with zero-depth entry, a six-lane lap pool, and an outdoor splash pool. Programs throughout the year keep kids of all ages active and engaged. The center hosts Learn to Swim for all levels taught by highly qualified staff, summer-long kids’ camps, and even a Parents’ Night Off that gives kids a few hours of fun while the adults take a break.
