It’s our plan to keep growing to benefit more lives, and the Head of Property & Facilities Management will play a crucial role to enable this growth. Working closely with the Leadership Team this role will lead on the acquisition and development of new sites and facilities whilst ensuring that industry-leading, customer-focused estates and facilities management services are delivered to every one of our sites, ensuring the very best experience for the people we support and colleagues.

Job Description

Job title: Group Head of Property and FM

Purpose: Lead ivolve Group’s property, estates and facilities management strategy across our growing and diverse portfolio in England and Wales. Responsibility for property development, repair, defects, planned and emergency maintenance and fully accountable for the asset management of operational properties across the estate.

Responsible to: CFO – Ivolve Group

Location and hours: Hybrid role with Chesterfield as an office base. This is a national role. You will also have the flexibility to travel to sites as and when required by the business and will be able to work flexibly.

Key responsibilities: • Build and deliver an overarching strategy for property, asset management and FM across the ivolve Group which leverages the benefit of scale of our growing business but has flexibility to be implemented effectively by regional teams. • Own the capital spend budget for property development as part of the wider strategy, ensuring robust prioritisation of major improvement works considering operational requirements, regulatory compliance and financial returns. • Present Property business cases to the Exec team and Board (Capital Committee) for approval as well as presenting strategic and operational reports as required. • Lead the Property and FM teams through a period of change including implementing new systems and processes, more consistent ways of working, key stakeholder engagement and stronger commercial focus. • Manage outsourcing and implementation of contracts / service level agreements with key suppliers

and external stakeholders including construction teams, contractors, housing associations and landlords, to ensure they are fulfilling their obligations. • Lead on energy reduction initiatives from a property perspective, including reducing waste and carbon, and help shape the future ESG strategy across the Group. • Develop a property audit and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategy to include cyclical renewal and upgrades to drive down costs and improve efficiency. • Drive wider efficiency initiatives across the Group, working with operations, business development and finance, to identify opportunities for cost saving or value creation. • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, CDM regulations and other statutory requirements. ivolve have recruited a Capital Project Manager to lead on the development, refurbishment and major project works. This role will report to the Group Head of Property and FM.

People and Leadership • Build and develop a high performing Property and FM team which lives and breathes ivolve’s values and delivers for the people we support and our colleagues. • Grow resilience and emotional intelligence amongst their team members. • Provide clarity, direction and set the pace for change, growth and achievement. • Proactively drive a strong community spirit across cross functional teams.

Key Requirements and Attributes

Qualifications • HNC, HND, degree (or equivalent) qualification in building surveying, FM or a related engineering qualification (e.g. building services engineering, built environment engineering, electrical engineering, energy engineering or mechanical engineering). • Professional membership of RICS, BIFM, CIBSE, ImechE or equivalent. • Other related qualifications would be desirable such as NEBOSH, energy management, waste and cleaning or a general management certification. Personal profile • Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing aspects of Property, Estates and Asset Management, FM and building services, with experience of tenders, procurement and commercial negotiations. • Effective and empathetic leader able to lead diverse and remote teams, who commands respect based upon intellect, technical knowledge and experience. • Ability to collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders, including the Executive team and Board. • Strategic thinker and able to link and develop objectives within Property to fit into the wider Group strategy and transformation agenda. • Ability to interpret data and trends, to bring insight and ultimately drive action. • Strong communicator – clear, concise, appropriate to audience. • Enthusiastic, motivated and a self-starter.
