In summer 2004 I met Mrs . Nancy Chippendale her husband Bob Carberry and her 3 daughters , Karen, Kelli and Krissy Carberry at the ADA-Championships (All American Awards - USA) in Myrtle Beach, North Carolina, USA. And due to a very late flight caused by a thunderstorm in New York City - we spent some most valuable time at the Airport in Myrtle Beach. This started a long-time friendship and mutual support until today. Later Nancy became IDO judge and the IDO Chairperson of the IDO Tap dance Committee. Her daughters competed in Riesa many times - and also with outstanding results. I also met anther outstanding person in Myrtle Beach: Ms. Hisako Umeda - from the other side of our precious globe, from Tokyo, Japan. This also started a long-time friendship and mutual support. Hisako sent many excellent dancers to the IDO World Show- and Tap dance Championships during the years. Later Hisako has decided to step out of the IDO. Now her successors in the Tokyo area are very close to us supporting the IDO World Tap dance Championships nearly every year.
