30 years of IDO World Tap dance Championships
Afterwards we darken the stage again and welcome the dancers entering from the center stage backline into the spotlight, making a short bow and proceed to their starting points while the stage gets bright again. Very impressive for the audience and the competitors. Duos and Trios We also welcome them center stage in a spot light - the first Duo/Trio before they start their perfomance - and then the next afterwards.

Small Groups and Formations There are too many dancers in a Small Group (4-7) and in a Formation (8-24) to be covered nicely by one spot light. Therefore they keep entering the stage from the back corners and leave on the others - while the stage-light is bright.
All this will not be judged by the adjudicators - it is our courtesy and appreciation to our great competitors.
The parts to be judged must be with equal light and sound-quality for ALL participants - no advantage for anybody. Everybody finds the same requirements: a great stage of 14 m x 16 m - wooden floor micro phoned - professional sound equipment and the same bright - not changing - light. It is THE IDO World Tap dance Championship.
