30 years of IDO World Tap dance Championships

I was an active dancer from Slovenia from 1988 until 2010. Part of IDO competitions from 1995. Competing in show dance, disco and tap dance. Best results in tap dance, medalist at EC and WC in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 (tap trios).
My first international competition was in Annecy (France) in October 1995, but my first appearance at tap dance world championship was in 1995 in Dresden (Germany). Since that year I've been competing each year as solo, duo and in group, the last three years as trio, but unfortunately I never had an opportunity to dance in formation, because I've been a member of a small dancing studio. Most members of our tap dance family remember me as Clown (my solo in 1997 in Stern in Riesa), but my biggest successes I accomplished in duo with Sebastijan Vodlan and later in trio with his brother Luka we won bronze in 2008 and 2009. Being part of this lovely tap dance family is the best thing ever happened to me. Coming back to Riesa each year feels like coming home. And this is the reason why I have stayed part of these competitions for so many years. After I've ended my active career as dancer, I've become team captain and in the last few years licenced IDO scrutineer (now I'm Chairperson of IDO Scrutineers) and also IDO Adjudicator for Tap dance.
I would like to express my biggest thank you to Mr Michael Wendt and his wife Christa for providing us with such an event and organizing a tap dance family reunion each year.
52 We are very happy that Vesna Huber and Ziva Laterna /both from Slovenia) work for the Linum Group from Zagreb, Croatia as expert scruteneers in Riesa since 2015. The Linum system is an online judging and scruteneering system allowing the marks given by the judges on tablets to go directly into the system, to publish the dancers for the next rounds and rank the ones who are not in tne next round and also find the ranking in the finals. All is dsplayed in the LED-screens for everybody to follow the renakings.
