30 years of IDO World Tap dance Championships

I have been competing in Riesa since 2016 and was and am inspired by so many talented tap dancers from around the world in Riesa, Germany. I love the "IDO style" tap, which combines complex steps and smooth movements that I have never seen before here in Japan. I learned tap at TAP dance in Tokyo for several years with my respected teacher, Mrs. Kuniyasu Kato.
Now I'm a professional tap dancer and a tap teacher in my own studio named "Tapdance-Laboratory" in Chiba prefecture near Tokyo.
I was very much inspired by Mrs. Satomi Mitera, one of my dance friends who participated at the IDO World Tap dance Championships before me. And I had the opportunity to compete with Satomi and Mrs. Mao Nakane and praise each other as teammates from Japan. Since two years I am also supporting IDO in Japan as IDO- Contact to form “IDO - TAP dance Japan” and to bring more Japanese tap dancers to compete in IDO competitions world-wide. This in close collaboration with Mr. Huang Shi, President of IDO Japan.
