Joshua knows the holidays are the most wonderful �me of the year. Lights twinkle, reindeer fly, and children dream.
Joshua wants to love this season but can’t…because a holiday monster lives under his bed.
The monster reminds Joshua that his holiday isn’t like other children’s. Things happened to Joshua that he doesn’t understand, and he no longer lives at home.
The grown-ups who take care of Joshua are very nice, but every child wants their own mom.
Joshua receives gi�s from people who care about him, but the monster reminds him they aren’t his parents. This makes Joshua feel angry, sad, and alone.

Because the only gi� Joshua really wants . . .
Joshua will have a loving family one day, and the Holiday Monster will go away.
But un�l then, the holiday monster will con�nue to live under his bed.
