My Olsen (putitdownlifestyle.com) and I both began our sober journey with Jennifer Kautsch’s Sober Sis 21 Day Reset. We love talking recovery and the other day we were talking about our daughters’ being the impetus for us putting down the glass for good. What is so amazing about Sarah’s daughter, Riley, is that she is just thirteen. friend Sarah Riley is your typical thirteen-year-old. She loves to hang out with friends, wear edgy fashion, and dance. Dance takes up to 14 hours of her week and she loves every minute. She is competitive in many disciplines including contemporary, hip- hop, jazz, lyrical, and acrobatics. When she is not at dance class often you will find her in her mother’s room practicing turns. She loves the contemporary style of dance the most because it tells a story. This year, her contemporary solo tells the story of the struggles of mental health and how dark it can be. Riley is wise beyond her years. We don’t often hear the viewpoint of our children about the impact of drinking has on them. Riley enthusiastically agreed with her mother’s blessings to an interview and here are her!
