With an extensive resume of Tribal Government and Enterprise work experience, Mr. Johns brings a unique perspective to each of his engagements by having a current and past working relationship with all levels of senior management in Indian owned and publicly traded companies, as well as with Tribal, Federal, State and County governments. Prior to his Tribal government work, Mr. Johns worked as an accountant, senior financial analyst and finance director who has worked at numerous high technology companies in Silicon Valley such as Apple Computer, NEC Electronics, Hewlett-Packard , Inktomi , VLSI Technologies and Electronic Arts , Alongside Mr. Johns work supporting Tribes with their business and economic research, he has been active serving on Tribal enterprise business boards. Founder of Dupris Consulting Group, LLC ., Shawn Johns has over 25 years of operational and consulting experience in the Hospitality, Tribal Governments and Silicon Valley Technology Industries. Mr. Johns is a casino operations manager, financial analyst, and economics consultant with expertise in providing research and consulting to Tribal Governments, with a focus on business analysis, economic development, and Indian gaming research. Mr. Johns has been providing Indian gaming business and economic research to the Indian Gaming Association (IGA) since 2001, where he previously served as its Director of Research until 2009. Since leaving IGA in 2009, Mr. Johns continues to work with IGA as a consultant in producing its “Annual Economic Impact of Indian Gaming in the United States.” Recently, Mr. Johns annual report to IGA was referenced by the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development in a letter to Secretary of the Treasury, sighting the economic impacts of the Indian gaming industry and the importance of the allocation of COVID-19 response funds to federally recognized tribes. Mr. Johns provides clients with economic impact studies in Indian gaming, Tribal governments and other Tribal enterprises. In the past, Mr. Johns has worked for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, as its General Manager of the Elwha River Casino . In previous jobs, he has worked for the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community and the Quinault Indian Nation and Quinault Nation Enterprise Board (QNEB) as their Economic Development Manager and Economic Development Planner respectively.

he is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. He left the CREDCO Board to serve as its new Corporate Controller which was a short assignment that recently ended. Today, Mr. Johns is serving as a Chief Financial Officer for one of the largest Tribes in the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Johns has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
