Project One Magazine Issue 13_Sept 2017

Spotlight On… Jane Logie I live in South Wales surrounded by my lovely mountains (if your Scottish you call them hills) with my husband Graham and my very spoilt cocker spaniel. One of the benefits of living where I do is the seemingly endless number of fantastic roads that for a petrol head like me present some great driving challenges!! I love cars so if you want to be bored just ask me what I drive… On the CCI front; after completing a really enjoyable assignment helping the Prudential to understand the capabilities they needed to improve in order to increase performance of their end to end Strategic Change & IT organisation, I’m now working with ReAssure who are part of the Swiss Re Group. The initial engagement involved the completion of a CCI assessment and the definition and alignment of stakeholders behind a new model. The feedback from the initial assignment was really positive and on the back of this assignment number 2 is underway where the focus is on providing external good practice and challenge, across a range of initiatives all with the aim of speeding up progress made by the Changing Change Programme.

We are strong advocates for the outcome being more important than the method!

First ever job? I made circuit boards by hand. Initially stock items then as I became more skilled I made bespoke prototype boards mainly for the defence industry. What is the best piece of career advice you have ever received? Do something that scares you every day and make sure you learn from it. What do you believe makes Project One different? The focus on experienced high quality people and the amazing amount of knowledge and skill that it freely available. What is the best aspect of your job? Meeting new people and helping them succeed. What little known fact might surprise your colleagues? I spent four years living and working in Cairo setting up a life insurance company and on the slightly odd front I am the leader of an online gaming alliance in my spare time (fills the time when I’m away). If you had a time machine what would you want to see? Id like to travel 2000 years into the future and see what the world has become. Can you imagine how useful that would be?

there is a case for implementing a multi-modal delivery framework which allows you to choose the most appropriate method for the specific change being delivered – a “horses for courses” approach. We are strong advocates for the outcome being more important than the method! Our approach at Project One is to help our clients help themselves, by providing the frameworks and guidance to pragmatically apply to our clients’ specific situations. Sustained transformation of change capability has to be driven by the business themselves, and the job of Project One is to accelerate the transformation by bringing best-practice thinking from across all sectors, and helping to avoid the pot holes! If you want to find out more, please do visit the Change Capability Improvement pages on our website, or get in touch.

As our pipeline grows, we’re also looking to recruit Change Capability Improvement skills. We’re looking for people who have a passion for transforming our clients’ change and digital capabilities, as well as delivering standalone programmes. Visit our recruitment page on the website to find out more.
