W hile the flagship C&F business was still struggling to find its place in 2014, the acorns that Bruce, Nick and Doug planted were starting to grow. The raw material was there. It just needed some kind of organizing principle, some kind of shape. When Prem called me in the spring of that year to let me know that Doug had decided to retire - and see if I wanted to run C&F, I said, “Absolutely!”
