Payroll service in banking service launched

Mazars and Paycircle partner IN DECEMBER, cloud-based payroll provider, Paycircle, announced it has partnered with Mazars, the international tax, audit and advisory firm. The recently rebranded firm has already onboarded the majority of its clients in the privately owned business sector. Catherine Pinkney, co-founder, Paycircle, commented: “We’ve been really impressed by how switched on Mazars are when it comes to technology. They didn’t just see the value of our product but were integral to helping it evolve through participating in a thorough gap analysis of the bureau payroll process over the past eighteen months. “The fact that a company of their calibre has embraced our product is one of our biggest successes yet and shows that the era of automation and collaboration within payroll has finally arrived.” Matthew Stark, partner, Accounting & Outsourcing, Mazars, added: “We believe innovative technology should be at the heart of everything we do and so the synergies between ourselves and Paycircle were clear from day one. “Best of all, the automation powering Paycircle doesn’t just make running payroll painless but means, as a firm, we are freed up to focus on adding value for our clients in other ways. Everything we do is about achieving the best client outcomes. Harnessing the latest technology is one part of achieving that all-important goal.”

THE FIRST payroll service available within a banking service is being launched by Tide, a leading business financial platform in the UK. Tide, which was founded in 2015 and now has over 280,000 members and more than 320,000 business accounts, will partner with KeyPay, a specialist, payroll platform. Tide Payroll is being rolled-out in early 2021 with a straight-forward tool for Tide members to seamlessly execute their payroll right from their account, charging a small fee per payee. Ali Travis, vice president of Business Services at Tide, said: “Tide Payroll will help Tide members to keep on top of running payroll on time and make it easy to remain compliant by automating all relevant reporting to HMRC.” Oliver Prill, Tide CEO, said: “Tide’s mission is to save small businesses time (and money) on their banking and admin. I’m excited to be the first to offer this service in the UK and to work with our members to deliver the best possible experience.”
