FLAG Brings Flexo Printers Together For Annual Meeting BY GREG KISHBAUGH Flexo Label Advantage Group (FLAG) held its Annual Members Meet- ing in Buffalo, New York, bringing together industry members and ven- dor partners to discuss the latest trends, challenges and innovations in flexographic printing and label production. This year’s meeting welcomed more than 115 attendees from 64 companies. Trioworld To Acquire Palamy-BRJ

Trioworld Group, Smålandsstenar, Sweden, signed an agreement to acquire the French companies Palamy and BRJ through a pur- chase of all the shares in Sopal SAS. Palamy SAS (Palamy) and Beaudet et René Jean Em- ballage SAS (BRJ) are both players in high performance packaging solutions for bread, frozen food, and other consumer packaging applications in the French market. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and French regulatory approvals.

The Trioworld Group will, after the trans- action is completed, own 100 percent of the shares. Sopal is a French producer and supplier of polyethylene film and packaging solutions, with a turnover of 83 million EUR (2022) and approximately 250 employees. Sopal serves customers primarily in France, through its two subsidiaries Palamy and BRJ. Palamy, based in Le May-Sur-Evre, France is a specialist in the development and produc- tion of polyethylene film, flexographic printing and packaging solutions for the food, industri- al and medical sectors, founded in 1964. BRJ, based in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France, specializes in high-definition flexographic printing, laminated plastic film solutions and special applications for food, and has been part of the Sopal group since 2006.
