Our year of training at WOLBI has equipped us to be effective Couriers for our King. We have learned in the classroom, learned in combat, and we now go forward to carry His Message of Life to a world sick of sin, seeking the simplicity of life in Christ, yet not knowing how to find it.

Stephanie Brownback; you too are a beginning: a first product in the field of parenthood, a new experience in the lives about you, a change of pace in the environment you have joined. To you, little Stephanie, we dedicate our very first record of life. As a school, we will grow physically as you grow, learning by experience and-explanation that God is the source of your life as a person - - our life as a school. May we both learn then, to depend on His leading • • •

We, the first class of Word of Life Bible Institute, are very fortunate to have Jack Wyrtzen, a man of prayer, faith , hope, and great perspective; founder of Word of Life Fellowship, as our President. He is a very active man, traveling and evangelizing a ll over the country. We have followed him this year in our prayers, sharing the blessing of answers to those pray ers with him . It has been exciting to see the Lord work in the year we have shared with the ministry of Word of Life and the witness of this man has given . each of us more of a vision in our own lives. We count it a real privilege to have Mr. Wyrtzen as our President, and pray for God's continued blessing in his life.
Capt. Paul Brownback, Academic Dean of WOLBI graduated from West Point Military Academy, served in Germany and Viet Nam, and graduated from Talbot Seminary before coming to WOLBI. Along with his administrative duties, he taught Theology, Hermeneutics, Synoptic Gospels, Church History, and Apologetics throughout the year.
Did you ever have so many exams? The neVv procedure had its ad vantages - - a new teacher every two weeks and no pileup of exams at the end of schoo l! Subjects from Song- leading to Theology, Greek to Apologetics, kept study time widely v a r ied ! !
"This is now library t im e ! We \ please!"

Familiar? Stuart Page, graduate of Syracuse University - - State College of Forestry, is WOLBI's Dean of Students, Among his official duties are the more fam iliar ones of imagine* the peace and handing out demerits daring , . .

Selected by Mrs. Brown- back, the chorale sang every weekend in different areas. Regular appearances at Snow Camp during the winter made a busy schedule.
Practice five days a week first semester, three days a week second semester perfected our sound.

"Head of the line! " Familiar cry for those noon lunch meetings that accomplished important dec i sions . Organization became a key word when the Alpha '71 staff inherited - - finally - - a room of their own complete with a bathtub! ! ! Sweat and gray hair were results of a learning process; the product itself - - Alpha '71 sets a precedent in WOLBI beginnings.

O u t times are in Thy hand. Father, we wish them there, Our life, our soul, our a ll, we leave Entirely to Thy care. Our times are in Thy hand, Whatever they may be, Pleasing or painful, dark or bright As best may seem to thee. Our times are in Thy hand, Why should we doubt or fear? A Father's hand will never cause His child a needless tear. Our times are in Thy hand, We'd always trust in Thee, T i l l we have left this weary land, And a ll Thy Glory see.
