The following graphs are a comparison (January - December 2024) of Fort Worth (population of 1,011,238) to benchmark cities with either a similar population or proximity. Comparable cities with their population noted in parentheses include: San Antonio, TX (1,495,295), Dallas, TX (1,360,000), Austin, TX (979,882), El Paso, TX (678,958), Columbus, OH (915,427), Charlotte - Mecklenburg, NC (935,017), and San Francisco, CA (767,968). The population data source is the U.S. Census Bureau. Crime offense comparable data source is the Major Cities Chiefs Association.
