For more than twenty years, the Diversity Catalyst Awards have honored faculty, staff, students, programs, departments, and student organizations each year who engage meaningfully in DEI initiatives, promoting the development of an inclusive and diverse campus community. Congratulations to the CLAS faculty, staff, students, and alumni who were recognized at the 2021 Diversity Catalyst Awards, presented by the UI Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

BUILD Certificate The BUILD (Building University of Iowa Leadership for Diversity) Certificate is an opportunity for UI faculty, staff, and graduate students to gain strategic knowledge and skills to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. By completing a series of workshops, participants can earn a certificate demonstrating their commitment as leaders for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and classroom. Nominations for the 2022 Diversity Catalyst Awards are nowbeing accepted. Please take time to nominate someone in your area who has gone above and beyond the scope of their jobs to promote diversity and inclusion on our campus. Recipients of the award are selected by a committee of UI students, faculty, and staff and will receive up to $500 and an engraved award. Nominations are due by noon on Monday, February 14, 2022. diversity.uiowa.edu/programs/diversity catalyst-awards The 2022 recipients of the Diversity Catalyst Award, Diversity Catalyst Seed Grant, the Alliant Energy/Erroll B. Davis, Jr. Achievement Award, and BUILD Certificates will be recognized at the 2022 Diversity Catalyst Awards Reception, to be held virtually on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. This event is free and open to the public to attend.
