Whether you participate in winter activities, or prefer to wait for the warmer temps, getting outside and connecting with nature is always a mood lifter. Here are two new series from Twin Cities PBS (TPT) that aim to inspire people to get outside, no matter the season.

America Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston Premiering in summer 2022 for a national PBS audience, this six-part series will take viewers off the beaten path to learn how we explore, enjoy and think about the nation’s outdoor spaces. Hosted by best-selling author Baratunde Thurston, the series looks at aspects of the outdoors that are often overlooked, including equal access and the impacts of climate change.
