Johnny Lombino Owner/Founder
Over the years, Johnny has traveled the world in pursuit of challenging rivers and remote expeditions. His paddling career includes expedition-style trips across multiple continents, kayaking the five sacred rivers of the Ganges in India, and completing extensive descents throughout Nepal, Chile & Peru. Among his most memorable highlights are running the legendary rapids of the Zambezi River and the White Nile in Africa. Long before stand-up paddleboards were available to the consumer market, he was experimenting with inflatable paddle boards on white- water. This pioneering work led to numerous first descents on SUP, including classic western rapids such as Snaggletooth Rapid on the Dolores River and Skull Rapid in Westwater Canyon on the Colorado River. At SOL Paddle Boards, we believe we deliver “a big city product with a small town feel,” combining cutting-edge design with authenticity and approachability. Today, Johnny lives in Colorado with his wife and daughter, where he continues to kayak, paddleboard, and ski whenever possible. He remains deeply connected to wrestling and enjoys giving back by volunteering with the local high school wrestling club.
