THE KING ’S BUSINESS

faith rises and the Lord fills the soul! Then one can go forth and serve Him. Sometimes we have the delight o f leading men in the prayer o f acceptance. Two men, both pumpers, over 60 years'of age, surren dered to the Lord, and it greatly" encour aged us. Thus we have refreshing 7 seasons and little evidences o f our Lord’s favor; which do indeed help. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable g ift! Lord Jesus,'when we think o f Thee, O f all Thy love and grace; Our spirits long and fain would see Thy beauty, face to face. O -------------- still another, with tears, was almost per suaded Christ to receive. W e secured his address and the next day the wife was visited by one of the Bible women who lives in the same house with the writer and occupies a very large share o f his heart. She found this w ife about to give birth to a little one, and all ready—really wanting to be saved; just waiting to Be shown the way. You may be sure it did not take very long to point her to Jesus, and an anxious sinner and seeking Saviour were brought together. This man has a dear, praying mother in the old home way back East, and some sweet day before long that dear moth er’s heart is going to receive the best mes sage God Can bring to it. We ring out a grateful note o f praise for still another soul yielded to Him at one o f our large street meetings, while five more professed to receive pur Lord at a recent jail meeting. The month has been so filled—brimfull; car barns, engine houses, shops, open air, laundries, hospitals, mis sions, .visitation work and letter writing. W e are tired IN the work, but never tired OF the work. W e have spoken in churches, held Bible readings and classes and our hearts are

as you meet and talk with them it is a joy to be able to point those weary and heavy- laden through sin to that Blessed One, who is the Balm o f Gilead, the sinner’s Friend!. What with the ..blindness, unbelief, drun kenness and awful sin one sees everywhere, it sometimes makes one’s heart sink! How the Scripture conjgs home to one—“If our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them which are lo st!!” The only remedy for this is to look away—look away to the Lord Jesus! Get one’s heart occupied with His dear love, with His precious blood; delight your self in the Lord; say to your heart “ He loved me and gave Himself for me.” Then I S IT really a whole month since we wrote our last article for The King’s Business'? It doesn’t seem possible! Surely, soon the morning cometh and also the night. Alas, for the dark, black night and all. those unsheltered by the precious blood! W e are still driving away with oh, so much to sadden the heart and yet much for which to praise our gracious Lord as we have looked into the faces o f those p'assing from death unto life at His blessed call and have seen that won drous light come into their eyes which told the story to our hearts far more than any words could have done. I’m sure you will recall how, in last month’s issue, we requested your prayers for a man who wouldn’t come to Christ without his better-half. Weli, the dear little wife has come back, but you’ll have to do some more praying for him, poor fellow ; he wants to be saved but the.will is like iron and the old devil contests for every inch o f ground. The Lord Jesus said some only go out with prayer and fasting, so don’t forget him. Another o f our car boys came to the Lord Jesus last week in a meeting remark able for the Spirit’s. working power, while
