"And now abideth faith, hofre, charity (love),, these , three, ( ;) but (and) the greatest of these is charity (love)." While we are still in this present period, when vision is dim, and knowledge- partial, there is one thing that we can already have which is perfect, that is love. Amid all that is-' so fast passing away there are three things that abide, or continue, “ faith,” “hope,” “ love.” But even o f these three there is one that is greater than the other two, one that stands absolutely alone, and the one thing that stands out so solitary and supreme is love. "Por now we see through a glass (in a mirror), darkly ('Greek, in a riddle): ( ; ) but then face to face: now I know in part, ( ;) but then shall I know even as also I am (have been) known." Our clear est vision now is but as a reflection in a mirror, or as “ in a riddle,” but a time is coming .when we are going to see face to face (1 John 3 : 2 ) . - Now we know only “ in part,” but a time is coming when we shall know even as we have been known, be., we shall know God as perfectly as God knows us.
