By William Cleaver W il kinson. Dr. Wilkinson an swers the questions: Was Paul a faithful follower o f the Great Architect’s plan in the erection o f doctrine and church, or did he dis- place Christ’s thought with his own? What freedom in expression may properly be exercised by a teacher em ployed in a school founded by men from whose com monly accepted, views his convictions depart? By James Iverach.. By Robert Young. Near ly 200 pages. The primary object o f this commentary is to illustrate the principal . passages in which the new version diifers from the common one, or where the meaning o f either or both versions is obscure. This is done' by means o f short and concise notes—gram matical and historical—use- ful for all Bible students. No difficult passage is left unnoticed. The object is not to say all that could be said on any given subject, - but only what is thought strictly- necessary. "By A. E. Garvie. Dr. Garvie discusses in detail, with constant reference to modern difficulties, the main features o f Paul’s gospel. A very human note is . struck. He presents the man and his message as distinctly as he himself has - been impressed by them. He does not attempt to re produce the mass o f con flicting opinions written by other scholars, but simply to submit, clearly and per sonally, the results o f his own labors.
