Laurel Bolton

This is Laurel's first time contributing to Coastline magazine, and is both thrilled and shocked to be here. An aspiring movie director, acrobat, life guard, ballerina, dog show judge and astronaut, Laurel is creeping their way ever so slowly to a bachelors degree in English. When not writing, they like to paint, draw, and go on long walks through the suburban hell that is Orange County. They would not have written their story 'A Town With a Knack for Appearances' let alone be published in this magazine if not for Professor Nichols and her creative writing class, which they would like to thank profusely.

Esmiralda Nguyen

Hello, my name is Esmiralda Nguyen, I’m a digital art major at GWC College for my future art career. I’m still undecided about transferring somewhere where I could find a place to fit in. I do Illustration during my time on social media. I post my artwork. This illustration I drew around May of my sona. Sona is a meaning of your version of “yourself” in creativity as a character wanted to be or something different from your personality.
