What we need now is consistency – a government that will not only focus on the immediate needs of our sector but also make long-term investments that will enable our businesses to succeed. Let’s move forward with confidence, knowing that no matter the political outcome, our collective commitment to a vibrant, thriving hospitality industry will continue.

As we reflect on the outcome of the recent state election and the political developments that have followed, it’s clear that Tasmania’s hospitality industry is navigating through a period of transition. Parliament has now resumed, and political uncertainties have been tested. As these events unfold, one thing remains certain: Hospitality Tasmania will continue to advocate strongly for our members and the broader hospitality sector, regardless of the outcome of political contests. While the return of Parliament on August 19 has seen some early turbulence, political stability is critical to the success of our industry. The hospitality sector thrives best in an environment where businesses have the confidence to invest, plan, and grow.
