Welcome to our Hays Travel Homeworking division - a flourishing part of our overall Hays Travel group.
Thank you for choosing our network of personal travel consultants – you have joined a thriving network which includes members who are new to travel, as well as experienced agents. Of course, the flexibility of working from home is a huge draw for our personal travel consultants and we know that many members manage their travel business around other work or family commitments. We recognise that working remotely can be a lonely place, which is why we have a team of business development managers and other colleagues who can help you; please do get in touch with them and ask about the systems, training, marketing guidance, and other assets there to support you.

Lets get you started on your homeworker journey today
Training We can’t wait to welcome you to our homeworker training and support you with everything you need to get started on your new adventure! You will shortly receive information from our Learning & Development Coach, regarding your training course. This includes:
useful numbers section at the end of this document. We encourage you to do this in the week leading ‘up to’ your Training start date so you are ready to go on your Start date. During your Training, you will be required to have your laptop camera on at all times and be well presented. Your Trading Name It is mandatory that you trade with your name with the Hays Travel Brand, for example ‘Joseph Bloggs at Hays Travel’. This will be your name across your social media pages and marketing. We will provide you with a matching Hays Travel email address too. We will also list you on our PTC Locator

Telephone Numbers Wildix Softphone Set up – This is your telephone system accessible via laptop and / or Mobile Phone APP. We will provide you with your main Hays Number on the day of your training and you will receive a welcome email with your log-in details. Micollab 2nd Number (Academy LS ONLY) – You will receive a welcome email sent from IT with your telephone number and log in details during induction week.

Our Academy induction is three weeks, Monday-Friday 10am-4pm. Please ensure that for the duration of your training, you are in a quiet room and will not be distracted. It is imperative that you attend the full training, as any missed sessions cannot be caught up. Training is mandatory and must be complete before we can allow you to go live. What you’ll need We provide you with your laptop installed with everything you need to get started. You will receive your kit in the week leading up to Training. Please set up the equipment in advance of your Training start date and check you have all you need to get started. VAT Registration You’re self-employed if you run your own business as an individual and work for yourself. This is also known as being a sole trader. More info can be found on the link below.

Our operations team will be in touch to request content for your personalized webpage. Facebook We have a private Academy Facebook group where you can view information, keep updated on what is happening and read important posts relating to travel. You will be provided with a link at the end of training to join and we will add you to our group once training is completed.

Business Cards and Marketing PTCs are allocated a budget of £100 marketing spend that you can use towards items such as business cards, leaflets or even a pop-up stand if you are planning on attending events. Once you have completed the training, you will be able to order marketing materials. You will receive an email from our marketing supplier Aztec, which will include your log- in details.
Ticket Wallets, Welcome Home cards and Thank You for booking cards will remain FREE OF CHARGE to our PTCs. Hays Travel will cover all costs associated with these excluding the postage charge. (You can choose to offset postage costs within your £100 credit if you so wish). The £100 per PTC renews in line with Hays Travel Financial year currently 1st May -30th April. Any queries regarding this should be directed to the Homeworking Operations Team. Business Development Our Business Development Coaches all have extensive travel backgrounds in several different roles, many of whom have worked for Hays for many years. We believe that there is nothing better than the personal touch; so, they will be on hand to guide you through your journey as a Hays Travel Homeworker every step of the way. They will review what business development you may require to achieve the most out of your business and will tailor this to your specific needs.
Important Monthly Management Fees Your monthly management fees should be paid by direct debit. We will send you a Direct Debit mandate via DocuSign. We will request your first payment in the month you start your training course. Your first Direct Debit payment will be requested on or around the 20th of each month. You may receive a call from our finance team prior to your start date to confirm the details provided. Fees are £55 per month Finance and Commission payments Our finance team provide support on any financial queries you may have; this could be anything from transactions to commissions. You have access to several reporting systems to view your sales and commissions daily, and there will be a demonstration during your training on how to use these. Please note the different telephone numbers in the useful contact listed on the next page.

Homeworking Operations We have a centralised Homeworking operations team who are based in our Sunderland head office. The team are just a phone call, live chat, or email away and they’ll do everything they can to help with your questions or queries. The team are dedicated to supporting you and building excellent relationships with all our PTCs. Their contact details can be found in the Useful contact list below.

What to expect next
Equipment Dispatch You will receive a separate email with confirmation of your delivery date. You will also receive a text message from DPD the evening before / morning of delivery with a time slot. You will receive a laptop with all relevant software installed and ready to go.
Your personal credentials (telephone numbers, branch numbers etc) will be provided during your training week.
User: Your Hays email address Password: Same as your 365-email account (already provided by IT on separate Smartsheet) Important You need to connect to your internet service provider prior to logging onto your laptop.

Sales Reports This is where you can view all your booking data including what have you been paid to date and what you are due to paid in later months.
Archive – This is where all your commission statements will be loaded as well as your commission breakdown, & positive and negative adjustment reports Forward commission – This shows everything ‘due for payment’ that has been booked or adjusted within the current month plus shows any FUTURE payments due.
A separate email with your password, will be sent from IT prior to training.
VPN (FortiClient) – Hays Virtual Private Network This is only needed when you look at your Sales Reports. Our IT Department will provide you with your log-in details, via email, during your training week.
Your log-in will be provided on your 1st day of training. A Full demonstration will be provided during your Training.
League Tables - This will show our PTC results in order of profit made within the current month.
