illustrated books, magazines, educational materials, and video games. After a 10-year career in game design, she had the chance to design Sega of America’s first website and that led to a career in user experience design. However, painting is her true passion. In 2022 she left the corporate world to paint as a full time artist. She enjoys The Drawing Studio’s opportunities for continued artistic growth and development. Kristin Harvey Artist Statement: My colorful acrylic paintings are a blend of

traditional southwestern subjects with semi- abstract expression. I paint intuitively. My work tells the story of my creative process and invites the viewer on a journey of visual discovery. I am especially inspired by the Mexican celebration culture and folk art that surrounds us here. The art featured on this issue’s cover, Noche, Acrylic by Kristin Harvey, The Drawing Studio.
